The Indian Springs School Chamber Choir of Indian Springs, Alabama recently returned from a fantastic tour of Spain. We were privileged to collaborate with them and are thrilled about their performance experiences abroad. Congratulations, Indian Springs School Chamber Choir!

“This is just a quick note to say that, in many ways, the tour to Spain is the best choir tour we have ever taken outside the USA, thanks primarily to your terrific staff and their careful planning.  This is the second trip in which Cindy Petty and Amy Hargreaves were excellent in every way.  They followed through with details carefully, and were sensitive to our every request and need.

Very quickly, the performances were the high points of the tour.  The concert in Seville at the Church of the Annunciation was standing room only, with members of the audience eagerly reaching for extra chairs as they were brought in.  I don’t know what you did to publicize this concert, but it worked.  In this performance and in all others, the audiences reacted with incredible enthusiasm, continuing to ask for encores long after the choir was completely exhausted.  Furthermore, every performance venue, without exception, was superb for choral performance.  In fact, this is the first tour I have ever taken in 35 years in which every performance presented the choir in an exceptionally flattering, resonant space.  There were moments in the Poulenc Gloria, the Whitacre Lux Aurumque, and the Victoria O vos omnes that will stay with the choir, with me, and with the listeners for a very long time as those sounds continue to shimmer aurally in our memories.

This is the best tour I have been on in 35 years.  Thanks for your care and attention to detail, and especially, thanks to Amy and Cindy.  One recommendation I have: if you ever have a choir that wants an international tour and they are not sure about what would be the best destination, you might tell them that if the size and enthusiasm of audiences are high priorities, they should seriously consider Spain.

Thanks for the tours, to Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, China, Ireland, France, and Spain.  We toured Romania with a different company that performed well, but not as well as you.  In many ways, the tour to Spain will always stand out.”
